The Users' Committee

The Users’ Committee, in compliance with the Act Respecting Health Services and Social Services, informs the users of their rights and obligations, promotes the improvement of the quality of the living conditions of the users and evaluates the level of satisfaction of the users regarding services rendered by the establishment. This committee defends the individual and collective rights and interests of the users or, at the request of a user, his/her rights and interests as a user of the establishment or any competent authority. This committee accompanies and assists, by request, a user in any process that he/she undertakes when wishing to file a complaint.

Risk Management and Infection Control Committee

The functions of the committee are those provided in the Article 183.2 of the Act :

“This committee’s role includes researching, developing and promoting methods which make it possible to:

  • Identify and analyze incident or accident risks in order to guarantee user safety;
  • Ensure that the victim and his relatives receive support;
  • Ensure that a monitoring system which includes an incidents and accidents registry is implemented in order to analyze the causes of incidents and accidents and recommend to the board of directors of the institution measures that need to be enforced to prevent accidents from recurring and any control measures that need to be implemented, if necessary.”

Despite our best efforts, you may have a complaint about a service or you may experience an unpleasant incident.
If this is the case, please let us know, verbally or in writing.

How to Proceed

First, speak with one of the managers. They will listen to you, and will likely be able to resolve the situation. If you are unhappy with their response, you may speak to the Service Quality and Complaints Commissioner, Ms. Lyse Beaudet.
